Here at ACTIVE CARE SERVICES we utilize the Sports Medicine Approach to provide our clients and patients with our unique trinity blend of injury management to offer the best possible treatment approaches to health.

Our Sports Medicine Approach incorporates three professional specializations - Kinesiology specializes in physical movement (activity) and how it affects or impacts health. It involves components of biomechanics and exercise physiology. Athletic Therapy offers specialized training in orthopaedic assessment of musculoskeletal systems—injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation aspects. Massage Therapy provides the direct hands on approach with techniques focusing on relaxation, sports massage and advanced muscle therapy.

Ms. Jordan has worked with both the Barbados Men’s and Women’s teams as their Head Athletic therapist during the 10th, Annual Caribbean Volleyball Association which played a significant role in Barbados’ success.

As a former national representative Ms. Jordan not only demonstrated an awareness of the athletes and coaches’ desires to remain in competition, but , her professionalism astutely determined the balance where the athletes and coaches desires were fulfilled without compromising the health of our athletes.

The detailed report on the which she carried out post the championships has provided the Barbados Volleyball National coaches with information they can now use to ensure further treatment and prevention methods for our players to minimize future injuries.
